2nd Annual Super Hero 5k and Fun Run
September 24, 2016
Crossroads Park, 1:00 pm
September 24th hundreds of caring people will come together as a league of superheroes - including family members, friends, professionals, and community and business leaders - to help make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children and to increase awareness of the challenges they face on a daily basis.
Become part of the movement of individuals, corporations and organizations that are proud to lead the fight against child abuse. Enjoy entertainment, refreshments and fun for the whole family. Casper offers a flat and fast 5K course, which accommodates all levels of expertise. Children 12 and younger can participate in the kids' race.
Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes!
Run, walk or fly to the 2016 CASA Superhero Run where you can be a superhero for children who’ve been abused or neglected. Join us for this 5K and Kids 1K with a superhero costume contest, special superhero guest appearances and lots of fun family activities! There will be face painting, music and refreshments.
The CASA Superhero Run supports CASA of Natrona County.
The main purpose of this event is to help raise awareness for CASA’s Scholarship Program. The event starts at 1:00 pm and will be completed by 4:00 pm. There is a 5k run for anyone over 13 years of age, a Fun Run 1k for youth 12 and younger and pets are welcome to dress up and run as well. There are activities for kids and lunch is served after.
The Scholarship Program is for foster families and the children who live with them. The purpose of this program is to have funding available for children placed in foster care, who are also placed with CASA, to be able to experience some of the opportunities and activities that will become creative outlets for them.
